So I cut my hair, because it was driving me nuts at the length is was. Also I was about to stab someone if one more person was like ‘wah why don’t you wear it down more??’

This led to the following conversation.

Tiny Boyfriend: I like your hair, it looks really good.

Me: Thanks, I did myself because I hate talking to hairdressers.

Tiny Boyfriend: Is there anyone other than kinksters that don’t annoy the shit out of you who you actually like talking to?

Me: No. Not really.

This got me to thinking. I do like people, honest I really do. It’s just that so many of them turn out to be terrible at boundaries, have almost nothing in common with me so I end up having to explain shit I find obvious for 90% of interactions with them or are just kind of boring. Basically I’m a weird kid who only likes other weird kids. This can be rough because I am actually very extraverted but I have been manipulated so many times by people I thought were nice that I have a lot of difficulty actually forming new friendships. This has made me overly cautious so if you piss me off before I know you all that well, you’re probably not going to recover. I love being around other people, especially because living alone means I spend a lot of time by myself. It’s just hard for me to find people I like.

See this is what is wrong with humanity. This girl is mentally injured, But she takes a step towards better times. She tries to get back. She even go to the beach, only wearing a minimalistic piece of clothe. She convinces her biggest fear, the fear of people laughing at her. And she’s even more brave. Afterwords she posts this remarkable photo on Facebook. It maybe took her minutes to post this. Sitting there by her computer, with her finger on the mouse. Should she press ”Upload” or not?”

And she did it. She was brave enough to do it.

And then this is what she gets. A hate comment. And there was of course more comments than that. And if that isn’t enough, that comment up there, got 5 likes. 5 LIKES. People agree with that terrible person?

My faith in humanity is almost gone now. I want to show this girl, that i’m with her. I’m a supporter.

It doesn’t matter even if self harm is attention seeking. ‘Attention seeking’ behavior just means the person doesn’t know how to ask for help in a healthy way (which is not that easy to do, especially with judgmental assholes like Facebook commenter man). Also just because someone has scars that show does not mean they want anyone to look. Cutting can be an addictive behavior like substance abuse, it’s just more visibly obvious. I hate people who have no sympathy for mental illness and think they have any right to judge.
